As you probably know, tourism accounts for up to 90 percent of the economy in the Caribbean islands. With the global pandemic, tourism worldwide has been negatively impacted, and the Caribbean has experienced a complete lack of travel. That said, how can the residents of the Caribbean participate in tourism recovery?
As we hope for a slow down in the coronavirus outbreak in the fall of 2021, the people of the Caribbean islands are encouraged to prepare for an increase in tourism. Getting back to "life as usual," is the goal for the entire world, but few places rely on tourism so heavily as the Caribbean.
When everyone works together to assist in the tourism recovery efforts, the return of jobs, income, and island celebration can happen quicker. For this reason, we put together a list of reminders on how the people of the Caribbean can help the economy return.
Participating in these basic guidelines will help the spread of COVID-19 to slow and tourism to gain recovery. If everyone joins in, the news encouraging vacationers to travel again will spread.
The Caribbean Islands will again be a tourism hot spot; we must all do our part for now.
