Real Estate Agent
I am a Bahamian who discovered a passion for property while marketing family properties in Nassau, Bahamas on Airbnb. I subsequently took the real estate licensing exam in 2018 and will be eligible to apply for broker status in 2023. As a child, I grew up exploring the trails and lanes of Treasure Cay by bike, and believe that every property on the crescent-shaped isle is unusually beautiful and special. Though my niche is still Treasure Cay, I have expanded into other markets in the Abacos closing sales on Elbow Cay, Green Turtle Cay & Leisure Lee and in the near future I hope to solidify deals in Man-o-War Cay, Marsh Harbour area and Guana Cay. Even though I have travelled extensively for both business and pleasure, from Japan to Ecuador, I still maintain the Abacos is one of the most peaceful & pristine places on earth. I live between Treasure Cay and Nassau with my husband, Carl Carter, owner of North Abaco Construction Services. Our son Ethan attends school in Nassau while my older two sons, Callum and Elias attend school in the US. In our spare time we enjoy cruising the waters of the Abacos, and exploring other countries like Panama and France. My hobbies are pilates, cycling, kayaking, reading kabbalah & writing fiction. My philosophy is 'community first' and professionally I am known for my quick response times and consistent communication. Regular live videos highlight our neck of the woods as well as new listings. I spearheaded the KSRE website blog and engage in social media via Instagram (just celebrated my 1000th post in late December 2022), Facebook and LinkedIn. Over the past year I have also expanded into short and long term leasing both in Treasure Cay and further afield in Great Abaco (Marsh Harbour area). With an academic background in Caribbean History and the Law & many years of writing & teaching experience, I believe these skills integrate well with the real estate profession. My favourite aspects of real estate: introducing new clients and customers to the Abacos or New Providence; exploring and getting to know new properties/listings; and studying comparables via the MLS as it keeps me in touch with the current market. Over the past few years I have completed many training courses which have markedly enhanced my skills as a real estate agent. To name a few: Transforming Difficult Situations into Profitable Deals (RRC - Residential Real Estate Council) Technologies to Advance your Business (CRS) Recruiting for Success & Performance Leadership (CRB)
