Marie Driven, co-founder of Brooklyn-based entertainment promotion company Playbook MG, will be honored at this year's EmPowerHer event in New York City. Over the past two decades, she has significantly contributed to the music, fashion, and lifestyle industries.

Driven founded Playbook MG with the intention of mainstreaming the Caribbean market and culture. Her goal was to ensure that Caribbean talent received the visibility and support they deserved in the industry. 

Advocacy for Domestic Violence Victims

Following a personal experience with domestic violence, she founded We Fight Back, a charity aimed at supporting victims of domestic violence. Through this initiative, Driven provides support and resources to those in need, emphasizing the importance of empathy and non-judgmental assistance.

Ms. Driven's commitment to community empowerment is evident through initiatives like Room43, an event space co-founded with her sister Cindy Lee. Room43 serves as a space for various community events, including weddings, baby showers, and organizational gatherings.
