Looking Forward to the CHICOS 2021 HVS Conference
It is no secret that interest in travel to secluded areas has skyrocketed as compared to previous years. And the Caribbean Islands can provide the best of active vacationing and seclusion. That may be why investors are looking toward more than just New Providence for hotel investments in the Bahamas.
Now fully opened are the resorts like Baha Mar and Margaritaville, which will provide excellent opportunities for those ready to travel again. And that is just what the hotel industry and the people of the Caribbean islands are anxiously awaiting.
Clearly, tourism-based industries like hotels, resorts, and restaurants are pleased that COVID restrictions are lifting as more people are vaccinated. However, based on current statistics, the desire to reach pre-2019 travel is exceeding expectations. And that is good news for all.
Parris Jordan is the HVS Managing Director and Caribbean Hotel Investment Conference & Operations Summit (CHICOS). And according to Jordan, the saturation of New Providence has allowed other islands in the Bahamas like the Family Islands to gain interest. Additionally, Jordan reports that there will be increased opportunities for investment in several of the more secluded Caribbean islands.
