New Resorts Opening in the Bahamas

08 Jul

The Most Exclusive Hospitality Brands pick the Bahamas to build New Resorts

Only 50 miles off the coast of Florida and with English as the official language, the Bahamas are becoming increasingly popular as a tourist destination, especially for visitors from North America.

At the beginning of 2026, the country set a record, reaching 12.5 million visitors. This is a well-deserved success, since the islands are known for their strong and reliable hospitality and tourism service sector.

Soon, this sector will be enhanced by several hotel- and resort-like residential projects, which are currently under construction and are expected to open in 2026 or over the next 2 to 5 years.

Luxury Brands choose the Bahamas for their Next Developments

More travelers are choosing rental apartments over traditional hotels. Because of this hospitality brands are investing in resort-style residential developments that balance income potential with personal use.

Moreover, most of these are designed to leverage the best of two worlds and are integrated into hotels and facilities with 5-star amenities. Many brands are choosing the Bahamas as their next destination, with the following initiatives set to open in the near future.

Six Senses Residences opening in Grand Bahama

Six Senses Residences plans to open its doors in late 2026, with 28 branded residences and 70 resort villas. The complex will cover 50 acres and be seamlessly connected to the fascinating landscapes of Grand Bahama, the third-largest island in the archipelago.

In addition to amenities such as a spa, a central pool, and a beach club, the units will be built around a sustainable system. Six Senses will aim to obtain LEED Silver certification, for which they will have to reduce their carbon footprint and implement efficient waste management and water-use systems.

Aman arrives at the Exumas and Plans to open in 2028

Aman is no ordinary brand: it’s characterized by its choice of boutique locations. On April 17th, they began construction of their very first project in the Bahamas, Amancaya, choosing two stunning islands in Exuma: Children’s Bay Cay and Williams Cay.

Exuma is a paradise on Earth, a small archipelago composed of 365 small cays southeast of Nassau. Their secluded nature gives them unbelievably clear waters and an air of exclusivity that attracts the most discerning travelers, and also prestigious hospitality providers like Aman.

The facilities will be outstanding, having one swimming pool in each apartment, a marina, a spa, a fitness center, and natural trails. Also committed to sustainability, Amancaya will aim to obtain a LEED certification.

Paradise Breeze expects to open soon in the heart of Nassau

Hilton is building a hotel and residence complex in Nassau, adding one more jewel to its Curio collection. Curio is Hilton’s special line that focuses on maintaining each building’s own feel, style, architectural richness, and cultural immersion. All of this while still backed by Hilton’s quality demands.

This version of Curio will be located on West Bay Street in the capital of the Bahamas, offering a sophisticated indoor layout and impressive facades. The complex will have both a hotel and residences, which can be rented out using a professional rental program.

All residents and guests will have full access to the resort's amenities, including event spaces, a rooftop restaurant, a hydrotherapy spa, padel and squash courts, a playground for kids, and a dog-washing station. To enjoy such facilities, guests will have to wait till the hotel’s opening, which is planned for 2028.

In 2026 and the following years, the Bahamas will be the setting for a resort-building boom that reaches different corners of the archipelago. In busy Nassau, tranquil Exuma, or lush Grand Bahama, these new resorts will offer unforgettable experiences to guests and owners.
