The people of Bonaire love to celebrate. Thus, they are adding a new event – Bonaire Rum Week from June 14 – 17, 2022. The Caribbean Journal and Tourism Corporation Bonaire join forces to begin the annual tradition. There, they will feature cocktail competitions, rum tastings, cigar events, exquisite dinners, beach parties, and more.
Furthermore, the even till be hosted by the island’s famous local rum, Rom Rincon.
The purpose of the celebration is to bring new awareness and visitors to the island. There, travelers can partake of the excellent scuba diving, nature conservation, and all the water sports you can dream of.
When hunger sets in, there will be local dishes features like goat stew and their specialty pancakes.
Alexander Britell, editor and publisher of Caribbean Journal announced, “We’re so excited to bring a high-end rum event to one of the most authentic, naturally beautiful and eco-adventurous islands in the Caribbean. Bonaire has long had a world-class culinary scene, and this week of rum-fueled fun is the perfect way for the destination to help spotlight it while elevating it to the next level.”
If you are interested in attending the event, there are plenty of flights to the island from the US. And upon arriving, you will enjoy all that the island has to offer, from tropical temperatures and beautiful breezes to the sun-drenched beaches and a view of the salt pans. Oh, and did we mention rum?
“Once a visitor, always a friend,” vacationers can now dive into the world of Rum at this new annual festival for the island of Bonaire.
